The Bartenders' School of Santa Rosa has been training professional, qualified bartenders since 1978 when the school was founded by John Burton. As the name implies, our school is located in Northern California's wine country.

John is the author of the successful publication 'Pour Man's Friend-A Guide and Reference for Bar Personnel' and is considered an expert in his field by many.

John commenced his career in the hospitality profession in 1959 and has been providing excellent beverage service ever since. John has been the beverage manager at the Flamingo Hotel, the Los Robles Lodge and the Sonoma County Fairgrounds Racetrack.

These days John has dedicated himself to providing quality education and marketable skills to thousands of individuals seeking a lucrative career in the hospitality industry.

John is the Educational Director for the United States Bartender's Guild, California Chapter, an organization of Master Bartenders that was founded in 1948.
