Additional Services Available Through Aperitifs Bar Management Services
Training seminars are scheduled at various times throughout the year in response to special needs of both our students and those already employed in the bar service industry.
Bar Management Seminars are individually designed to address the needs of the participants. Topics frequently covered in these training seminars include:
- Responsibilities of a Bar Manager
- Hiring, training, and retraining employees
- Meeting the requirements of the California Alcoholic Beverage Act
- Designing your bar layout for cost-effective and efficient operation
- Development of employee procedure and policies
- Increased profits through effective inventory control
- Targeting your customer market and developing a plan to service your chosen clentele
Seminars are taught for three consecutive nights; Tuesday-Thursday from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The cost is $395.00
Bar Management Consulting
John Burton is available to consult with owners, operators, or managers of new or ongoing bar service operations. Consultations are targeted to the special needs of the client and can address bar layout and design, development and implementation of your operations plan, personnel hiring and training, and issues that are specific to your business.
Consulting time is primarily on-premies at the customer's place of business, and can involve staff at all levels of the bar operation as well as managers and employees from other departments.
An hourly fee is charged, or a contract can be negotiated for specific tasks, or for a set length of time.
Many of Burton's customers have saved the full cost of the consulting contract by simply implementing the recommendations given to management. A client list is available upon request.
